A new project to expand the PV system has been launched in order to further increase in-house production of electrical energy and take a major step towards the goal of a CO2-neutral production facility.
The aim is to install additional panels by the end of 2023, which will have a higher rated output and a higher efficiency compared to the previous panels thanks to technological advances. The two systems will enable Gautschi to produce around 60% of its own electricity requirements.

Since 2015, Gautschi Spezialitäten AG has been generating over 25% of its annual electricity consumption itself with the solar panels installed on the roof of the new building. But soon, around 60% of the company's own electricity requirements will be covered by solar energy.
