Solar Plant in Malaysia: CO2 Savings of 11,000 Trees

Haco Asia Pacific is committed to renewable energy. The first photovoltaic solar system with a capacity of 731 kWp was installed in 2022 on the roof of the operations building and the green bean warehouse.

In Malaysia, locals and tourists enjoy an average of almost 7 hours of sunshine a day all year round. This compares to an average of only up to 5.5 hours of sunshine in Germany.
Thus, HACO Asia Pacific's solar system saves 450 tons of CO2 annually, which is equivalent to 11,000 trees per year reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere.
